Russian faux fur pioneer ONLY ME commits to fur-free future
Russia may be known for being one of the world’s biggest fur markets, yet the number of companies committing to fur-free fashion in the country is on the rise. The animal NGO Voices for Animals is pleased to welcome the internationally renowned faux fur brand ONLY ME as one of the first 10 Russian fashion brands to publicly renounce animal fur and join the global Fur Free Retailer program.
Vladimir Tregubov, founder and CEO of the brand, said:
“We believe that tiny everyday steps contribute to a sustainable and ethical future. The food we eat, clothes we wear, choices we make every day — can change our tomorrow.”

ONLY ME was founded 10 years ago but became known abroad when Pamela Anderson teamed up with the brand to design and manufacture a faux fur garment for Melania Trump. The faux coat was sent to the former first lady as a thank you present for not wearing animal fur to the presidential inauguration and marked a tipping point after which Melania Trump ditched fur clothing.
